GIANNI CARES ABOUT THE ENVIRONMENT!

Gianni is a family owned business and since formation, maintains accountability for our local and national environmental concerns. As a manufacture of fine wood case goods furnishings we depend heavily on our materials suppliers to maintain and excel at ensuring that environmental practices are met and or exceeded. Gianni utilizes materials in partnership with suppliers who take an active role in emission reduction and recycling.

Gianni does not utilize endangered rain forest wood species in our products and our partners supply us only woods that are harvested in compliance with the Convention on International Trade and Endangered Species. Gianni purchases from companies that procure sustainable species, and adhere to selective harvesting methods.

MDF, (medium density fiberboard), which makes up the bulk of our products weight are made from “recycled” sawdust and wood particulates.

Gianni utilizes finishing materials with maximum solids with low total volatile organic compounds, (TVOC), and trace formaldehyde. Gianni is working diligently to minimize waste from these materials. MFDS, (manufacturers data sheets), are available for all materials used.

In the manufacturing of core materials, chassis, drawer boxes, and framing, Gianni utilizes “non-toxic” adhesives free of volatile compounds and methodology that results in little waste. Gianni works with local recyclers for excess wood and sawdust material removal. These products are recycled by small business into re-sellable products such as insulation and fiber materials and cleaning supplies.

Gianni “blanket wraps” all products for shipment with “re-usable” wrap avoiding the overabundance of cardboard and wood packing materials often associated with job-site deliveries. This material can be re-used and or recycled.

As our company depends upon consistent availability of renewable woods to produce high quality furnishings we are seeking out new methods for protecting our natural resources and reducing our impact on our environment.

Gianni is in the process of working with GREENGUARD for certification.
